Benevolence ministry donates funds each month to Operation C.A.R.E. ministries that serves as a clearing house for local churches. People needing rent money, overnight lodging, utility payment, etc. are referred the C.A.R.E. who verifies the need and provides assistance.  Our Food Room, serviced by the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, provides Emergency Food Assistance to qualified families in our community.  Each year at Christmas the benevolence ministry enlists the congregation’s assistance in the planning and purchase of food for Christmas baskets.

The Youth ministry at Tamarack Road desires to support each family’s efforts to encourage and nurture the spiritual development of their youth by providinga safe environment in which teens can actively pursue meaningful relationships in Christ and cultivate an attitude of “others first” as they share and care for each other and our community.

Pre-Teen ministry works with children from Kindergarten through the 5th grade.  Children learn about Jesus at an early age through VBS and other activities and develop social skills so that by age 13 they are ready to be involved with the older youth and the Youth ministry.

Prayer ministry involves anyone who desires to encourage the hurting, the sick, those in prison, and those with physical or spiritual needs by writing notes and spending time before God’s throne on behalf of those individual on the weekly prayer list. Added to this list are newcomers and visitors.  Stamped envelopes and blank note cards are at each door as well as the weekly list for those wishing to be a part of this ministry.  A prayer room is available for any who need a private time to write, pray or meditate.

Ladies Committee is a special ministry devoted to the ladies in three special times during the year. Fall kickoff, Christmas, and “Ladies Night Out” in the spring. Ladies on committee volunteer to serve 2 years. Time on committee is staggered so half the ladies have served the previous year.

The Outreach ministry is concerned with all forms of media that is designed to reach out to the community. Examples would be advertising for special events, phone book ads, tracts, and brochures encouraging people to be a part of the Tamarack Road family of believers in Jesus Christ.

Missions ministry is concerned with encouraging the spiritual need of people through support of organizations or individuals which reside outside of our local area of work. These are people dedicated to serving their fellow man and helping in their understanding of Jesus Christ as our Savior.  Most of these are supported on a regular month basis with some funds available for emergencies during the year.

Worship ministry is involved in selecting Pray Leaders, Pray leader for The Lord’s table and contribution. Also included is selection of Song leaders who selects songs which are often coordinated with the minister’s sermon. The worship ministry is also active in planning special worship and praise services as desired.   A new area of responsibility is preparing audio & video presentations and facilitate in training those desirous of working in this area.

The Education ministry is a vital phase of the overall purpose and work of the church.  This comprehensive ministry evaluates, not only the curriculum taught but the structure of classes for the education of all ages.  With the single purpose of informing and teaching God' word, this ministry is fundamental to the growth of every individual.

Finance Ministry prepares monthly and annual reports reflecting monies coming into the church and expenses. The monthly report assists the elders in making sure expenditures do not exceed our income.  The annual report helps the elders prepare the annual budget of the church.
